Return Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
At Mountain Maytag Appliance Center, we believe in honest service, fair pricing, and clear communication. These Terms & Conditions are designed to protect both our customers and our business by clearly outlining our policies regarding purchases, repairs, deliveries, installations, warranties, returns, cancellations, and refunds.
By placing an order, scheduling service, signing an estimate or invoice, accepting delivery, authorizing repairs, or making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Return & Cancellation Policy
Our team is committed to helping customers select the right appliance, part, or service before making a purchase. We encourage customers to ask questions before placing an order, as return eligibility varies depending on the type of merchandise purchased.
New In-Stock Appliances
Most new, regularly stocked appliances may be considered for return only if all of the following conditions are met:
- The appliance has not been delivered, installed, connected, or used.
- The appliance remains unopened in the manufacturer's original packaging.
- The appliance is in new, resalable condition with all manuals, accessories, and packaging materials.
Returns are subject to manufacturer approval policies and must be authorized by management.
Approved returns may be subject to restocking fees, delivery charges, processing fees, freight charges, or other non-refundable costs incurred by Mountain Maytag.
Special Order Merchandise
A Special Order includes any appliance, accessory, or replacement part ordered specifically for a customer that is not part of Mountain Maytag's normal inventory.
Because these products are purchased specifically for an individual customer and often cannot be returned to the manufacturer, the following policy applies:
A 20% non-refundable restocking fee applies to all special order merchandise canceled after Mountain Maytag has placed the order with the manufacturer or supplier.
The 20% restocking fee applies whether or not the customer has received the merchandise.
The restocking fee applies regardless of whether:
- The merchandise has been delivered.
- The customer refuses delivery.
- The customer never picks up the merchandise.
- The customer changes their mind.
Once special order merchandise has been delivered, picked up, installed, removed from its original packaging, or accepted by the customer, all sales are final.
Delivery charges, installation charges, freight charges, processing fees, and other completed services are non-refundable.
By placing a special order, the customer acknowledges that Mountain Maytag immediately incurs costs on their behalf and agrees to this cancellation policy.
Used Appliances
All used appliance sales are final.
Used appliances are sold as-is unless otherwise stated in writing.
Used appliances cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded for any reason other than warranty coverage specifically provided in writing by Mountain Maytag.
Appliance Parts
Stock parts may be eligible for return only if:
- They have never been installed.
- They remain unopened and unused.
- They are returned in original packaging.
- They are accompanied by the original proof of purchase.
The following items are not returnable:
- Electrical components
- Installed parts
- Opened electronic controls
- Special order parts
- Parts damaged after purchase
Management reserves the right to inspect returned parts before approving any refund.
Damaged Merchandise
Please inspect all merchandise immediately upon delivery.
If visible shipping damage exists:
- Notify the delivery team immediately.
- Note the damage before signing delivery paperwork.
- Customers may refuse delivery of visibly damaged merchandise.
Failure to report visible shipping damage at delivery may limit available remedies.
Manufacturer Defects
Most new appliances include a manufacturer's limited warranty.
If a product appears defective upon delivery:
- Notify Mountain Maytag within 48 hours of delivery.
- After 48 hours, warranty claims are generally administered directly through the manufacturer.
- Manufacturers typically require diagnosis by an authorized service technician before authorizing replacement.
Warranty coverage varies by manufacturer.
Appliance Repair
Our technicians perform repairs using manufacturer-approved procedures whenever possible.
Diagnostic charges cover technician travel, diagnosis, and professional evaluation and are earned once the diagnostic service has been completed.
Diagnosis does not guarantee repair if:
- Additional hidden failures are discovered.
- Replacement parts become unavailable.
- Manufacturer support has ended.
Repair estimates are based on known conditions at the time of diagnosis and may change if additional issues are identified during the repair process.
Delivery & Installation
Mountain Maytag provides professional delivery and installation services throughout our service area.
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
- Safe and unobstructed access.
- Doorways, hallways, elevators, and stairways are adequate for appliance dimensions.
- Electrical, plumbing, gas, water, and ventilation connections meet applicable code requirements.
- Existing appliances have been disconnected unless disconnection service has been purchased.
Additional labor resulting from inaccessible delivery locations, code violations, or customer-requested changes may result in additional charges.
If delivery cannot be completed because the home is not ready or access is unavailable, additional delivery charges may apply.
Shipping
Delivery dates are estimates only.
Manufacturer production schedules, freight carriers, weather, supply shortages, and other events outside Mountain Maytag's control may affect delivery timelines.
Mountain Maytag is not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment whenever possible.
Refund amounts may be reduced by:
- Restocking fees
- Delivery charges
- Installation charges
- Freight charges
- Processing fees
- Special order fees
- Other completed services
Refund processing times vary by financial institution.
Pricing
Prices are subject to change without notice until payment has been received.
Mountain Maytag reserves the right to correct pricing errors, inventory inaccuracies, or manufacturer pricing changes.
Orders may be canceled if products become unavailable or pricing errors occur.
Limitation of Liability
Mountain Maytag shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to:
- Food spoilage
- Loss of use
- Lost wages
- Lost business income
- Property damage not directly caused by Mountain Maytag

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mountain Maytag's liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the applicable product or service.

Mountain Maytag reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
